Jewett Springer

Jewett Clay Springer, 79, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on February 5, 2019.  He was born on February 20, 1939 in Slate Springs, MS to James and Inez (West) Springer.  Jewett served in the National Guard with honor and retired from the Marion County School System after a long career in Education.

Jewett is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Donna; daughters Tanya Shively (Karl), Tara Turney (Clay); brother, Hulett Springer; sister Mallie Floate; granddaughters, Cheryl, Keri and Rylee and great granddaughter, Madison.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ocala, with Dr.  Edward D. Johnson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Ocala and/or Hospice of Marion County.
