Joan Carrier
August 25, 1962 — September 4, 2016
Joan Marie Carrier was called home to her heavenly father September 4, 2016. The second youngest of twelve children and born to James and Garnetta Carrier on August 25, 1962, family was her greatest blessing. The beloved mother of her three boys: Jordan, Quinton and Isaiah; beloved sister and auntie to dozens of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. But her most favorite role of all was “Grammie” to her beloved grandson, JJ.
Early in her adult life, Joan had a successful retail sales career in the Chicago area. She relocated from her hometown of DeKalb, Illinois to Florida in 1991, and she touched the hearts of all who knew her with her laugh, quick wit and infectious smile. Fiercely loyal, she loved completely no matter what color, creed or family connection.
Predeceased in death by her parents and three of her brothers (Tommy, Jerry and Danny Carrier); she is survived by her three sons, her grandson, three sisters (Barbara Rauman , Alice Hayden and Julie Carrier), and five brothers (Jim, Tim, Mike, Jeff and Dennis Carrier).
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Living Waters Worship Center.
