John Huling

HULING, John Harold

Ocala - John Harold Huling, 86, passed away September 19, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born August 21, 1933, in Toledo, OH to John A. Huling and Mary Latelle Huling.

John was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He retired from service with the Marion County Sheriff's Department as a Lieutenant. John was a lifetime member of the VFW 10208, a member of Fort McCoy Lodge 49 Masons and American Legion. He was a charter fishing guide and enjoyed spending time at his place in Steinhatchee with family friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son David Henricks; brothers, Wade J. Huling, and Hugh G. Huling; and sister, Nancy Hendricks.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Marietta Huling; sons, Greg (Karen) Huling, Robert "Bob" (Trudy), Henricks; half sisters, Mary Esther and Sara June Schnable; and grandchildren, Cole Huling, Ashley Huling, Ashley Frazier, Christine Henricks, Abigail Henricks, and Mary Caitlin Lee.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, Florida.
