John Patrick Kegley, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce the passing of our beloved John Patrick Kegley, Sr. John has suffered the last 10 months with cancer. He has fought a furious fight to try and get well from this horrible disease. 

John was a highly skilled mechanical pipe fitter foreman and job site superintendent where he learned his trade from his father at an early age. His knowledge and his work ethic took him up and down the East Coast, Tennessee and even to Guam USA. 

John enjoyed woodworking and gardening and loved his flowers. His most favorite thing to do was spend time with his family and grandchildren. 

John is survived by his wife of 48 years; Tonya Kegley, his two sons; John Kegley, Jr. (Lexis) and Jeremy Paige (Erin); two grandsons, John Kegley, III and Jeremy Joseph; six granddaughters, Kaily, Makayla, Claire, Paige, Autumn and Brooke; two sisters, Cindy (Andy) Garrow and Cathy Grizzard. 

John was predeceased by; mother, Virginia Paschall; father, James Kegley, Jr.; brothers, James Kegley, III and Jerry Kegley; and one sister, Dana Marie. 

Countryside Funeral Home in Anthony is in charge. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:30 a.m. March 15, 2025 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Priest officiating. 

Family is asking that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the funeral expenses for John at Countryside Funeral Home.
