John Nicholas McMullen

John Nicholas McMullen, age 56, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on April 11, 2025 into the loving arms of Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 5, 1968, in Blakely, Georgia the son of John McMullen Sr. and Brenda McMullen Carroll.

He is preceded in death by his father, John McMullen, Sr, his step-father, Franklin Carroll and his grandmother, Helen (Granny) Taylor. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory; mother, Brenda Carroll; sister, Julie Nicholson; and his favorite nephews, Tanner and Caleb. John made his mark in numerous occupations including road construction and as a tile setter. His favorite was his last, maintenance worker with Glen Hill Farm, where he spent his off hours fishing in their numerous ponds. We are sure he has already picked out his favorite fishing hole up in Heaven. Remember, Johnny, catch and release. Hobbies included watching every rocket launch at Kennedy Space Center from the yard, watching PGA golf and never missing a University of Miami football game.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2:00 at Christ the King Anglican Church, 4440 SE 3rd Ave, Ocala, FL. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:30.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Grace Christian School 4410 SE 3rd Ave, Ocala, FL 34480 or a charity of your choosing.Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
