Joseph “Mac” Pound, of White Springs, Florida passed away on February 27, 2022 at the age of 64. He was the youngest of six children, born to Frank and Ceil Pound on February 18, 1958 in Lake City, Florida. Mac spent his entire life in his hometown of White Springs, Florida.
One horrible motorcycle accident in his early twenties left Mac without the use of his left arm. This dramatically changed the way he lived his life. He overcame a lot of obstacles even though he was limited to some things he was not able to do. Mac did not want pity, nor did he complain about his situation. He lived life just like he wanted.
Mac loved the Florida Gators! Especially football, but he watched most anything the Gators played. He was also a big Nascar fan. Mac loved the outdoors.
He is pre-deceased by both parents, brother, Willy Pound and sister, Gaynelle Greene, both of White Springs, Florida
He is survived by a brother, Tommy Pound, White Springs, Florida, sisters, Emily Williams, Ocala, Florida and Dorothy Pound, Ft. McCoy, Florida, and many nieces & nephews.
Mac touched many lives & will be sorely missed.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
