Joy Fisher

Anthony – Joy Fisher, age 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, September 25, 2016. Joy was born in Petoskey, Michigan on March 7, 1925. She had many interests through the years including a love for music, poetry, and most of all, sharing Jesus with everyone she met.

Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard J. Fisher, and her daughter, Carol Joy Watkins.

She is survived by her son, Brian Fisher (Brenda); daughters, Eileen Miller (Glen), Diane Carter (Jim), Pat Simpson (Paul), and Peggy Hilley; sisters, Muriel Peterson, Nola Kinnucan (Jack); 14 grandchildren, Debbie Troutman, Craig Miller, Tracy Townsend, Heidi Lasher, Michael Watkins, Samantha Watkins, Amy Leopard, Jennifer Carter, Kim Monday, Erin Simpson, Crystal Stachitas, Andrew Fisher, Jason Steffey, and Savannah Hilley; 24 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a third due in February, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

Funeral services for Joy will be held at Grace Bible Church in Homosassa, FL on Monday, October 3, with a viewing at 1:00pm and funeral service at 2:00pm (Pastors Jim Johnson and Ray Herriman officiating). Grace Bible Church is located at 6382 W. Green Acres Street, Homosassa, FL 34447. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to be made for missions, in memory of Joy, at either Anthony First Baptist Church (PO Box 267 Anth ony, FL 32617), or Grace Bible Church (PO Box 1067 Homosassa Springs, FL 34447-1067) .
