Kathryn Yates

Kathryn Yates, 83 of Ocala passed away at Sylvia’s House on October 7, 2015.  Born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Edward William and Alice Wingerter. A graduate of LSU, where she met her beloved Jesse Collins Yates, she came to Ocala in 1966 from Miami Springs.  She was a retired elementary school teacher and an avid dog trainer and enthusiast.  She leaves to cherish her memories, her sons, Robert Edward Yates (Rebecca), James Michael Yates (Mary Jo); daughters, Carol Lynn Leslie (Robbins), Karen Alice Morrison (Lou); brother, Edward “Pop” Wingerter (Sandra); eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. A celebration of her life will be 6:00 pm, Friday, October 16, 2015, at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Rd, Anthony, FL.  In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to Hospice of Marion County 3231 SW 34th Ave., Ocala, FL 34474 or Humane Society of Marion County 701 NW 14th Rd., Ocala, FL 34475.
