Katie Laura (Greiner) Chester

Katie Laura (Greiner) Chester passed peacefully at home on February 4, 2025 at the age of 92. 

Katie was born in Waynesboro Georgia on April 24, 1932. She move to Florida in 1947 and resided with her husband Chet Chester, (who has preceded her in death) in Fort McCoy Florida. She had two brothers; Russel Greiner and Walter Greiner (preceded in death); two sisters, Doris Greiner Lumpkin and Caroline Greiner (preceded in death). Katie had two sons; Tony Chester (Gail Chester, preceded in death) and Macon Chester (Kathryn Koch Chester). Katie had four grandchildren, Heath Chester (Tina), Wendy Chester Weinsheimer (Kevin) Kim Chester Slaughter and Nicole Tamimi, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and eleven great great-grandchildren. She loved and adored all of her nieces and nephew’s as well.

Katie was loved by so many. She was vivacious and full of life. Katie loved to dance and mingle with her friends. She attended Forest Baptist Church where her celebration of life will be held, located at: 23241 ne 160th ave rd. Fort McCoy Florida 32134 on February 15, 2025 at 12:00 P.M.
