Kayla Norma Rose Graham, 24, passed away on June 11, 2024, in Ocala, Florida. She was born September 22, 1999, in Ocala, Florida, to Kevin and April Graham. She was lovingly raised by Randy and Jana Graham. She most recently worked as a food service employee at AdventHealth Ocala Hospital and as a copy room clerk for Vanguard High School.
She is survived by her parents Randy and Jana Graham; her biological parents Kevin Graham and April Graham; her siblings Stacy Salmon, David Graham, Kaitlin Stryker, Justin Graham, and Bradley Graham; her biological siblings Matthew Graham, Michael Graham, Brittany Dahl, Kevin Levi Graham, and Brooke Graham; and her biological grandmother June Rodriguez.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Bob and Ruth Graham, and Dean and Thelma Quinton.
Our dear Kayla was beloved by her 17 nieces and nephews. She was an entertainer, playmate, caretaker, and friend to each of them and could always be found holding a baby at family events. She loved spending days at the lake with the kids, supporting them at baptisms and extracurriculars, and picking out the perfect gift for each of them.
Kayla developed a strong love of crafting and travel from her mom. She loved to make jewelry for friends, as well as paint and sew in her spare time. She traveled with her family on several trips across the US and Canada, including three Caribbean cruises, and Kayla could not wait for whatever destination was next. She was also an avid collector and gamer, finding joy in everyday objects and playing board and video games with family and friends.
Kayla was an active, lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She grew up attending church services and youth activities every week, and was a friend to everyone she met there. In her high school years, she attended seminary class every day before school and dedicated that time to studying the scriptures and learning the Gospel. In 2019, she graduated with a 4-year Seminary Diploma. After high school, Kayla served in many capacities, including Primary and Nursery teacher, secretary for the local Young Women organization, and as a ministering sister.
Kayla spent many years of her life at Vanguard High School. As a child, she attended sports events there for older siblings and visited her mom at work. As a teen, she was a student (Class of 2019), a member of the Navy ROTC, and an athlete on the cross-country team. As an adult, she worked in the copy room, aiding teachers and staff, and was named “school-related employee of the year” for 2020-21. It was one of her favorite places to be, and she sought out any opportunity to continue her time with the community she created there.
A kind and loyal friend, Kayla was known for caring greatly for everyone she met. From her work delivering food to patients at AdventHealth, and connecting with other young adults at church, she touched many lives and made many friends. Kayla was known for her constant energy and ever-present smile, which will be dearly missed.
