Keith Davidson

July 25, 1925 — March 16, 2017

Keith J. Davidson, 91, formerly of Siren (Falun) WI died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Estelle's House a Hospice facility in Ocala FL. He was born in Lacrosse WI on July 19, 1925, to Margaret M. (Oehler) Davidson and James A. Davidson. He graduated from Logan High School in 1943.

He was a survivor of World War II and served in France and the European campaign from the fall of 1943 to the spring of 1946. Following his service to the country, he attended the Art Academy in Chicago IL.  He was a commercial artist for many ad agencies in the Chicago area. He was a member of the Stockyard Kilty Band and played bagpipes in parades and events all over the south side of Chicago.  He moved to Siren (Falun) WI in 1976 and began wood carving for a living.  He created and sold over 400 wood carvings to people all over the country.  He retired from carving and in 2013 he moved to Florida with his daughter and son-in-law.

He is survived by Jean (Davidson) Formanek ex-wife and friend Siren, WI; son, James (Donna) Davidson Luck, WI; daughter, Karin (Edward) Aulwes Ocala, FL; sisters, Carol (Frank) Adamo Ocala, FL, Janice (Sylvan) Baures Onalaska, WI; and brother Thomas (Sandra) Davidson Portage, WI, along with many nieces and nephews.

He donated his body to the University of Florida (Shands) for medical study. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
