Kent Hugh Childers

Kent Hugh Childers, age 69 of Silver Springs, Florida passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023.  Kent was born in Ocala, Florida on July 20, 1954, a son to the late Frances and Wenona (Williamson) Childers.  Kent was a 1972 graduate of Vanguard High School.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl Childers, four daughters, Susan (Mark) Caldwell, Laura (Tom) Collins, Janet (Jimmy) Taft and Regina Soucey, two step-sons, Matthew (Sarah) Boyd, Kenneth Boyd.  He is survived by a sister, Carolyn (Quen) Willis, a brother Kimmy (Joetta) Childers and a brother-in-law John Ingram.  He was preceded in death by his sister Wenona (Mona Ann) Ingram.  Kent has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted with Countryside Funeral Home.  There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial for Kent on Sunday, November 5, 2023, 2:00 pm, at his residence in Silver Springs.  This is open to all family and friends.
