Lacy Lee Everett, age 83 of Orange Springs, Florida passed away at his home on August 18, 2022. He was born on April 11, 1939 in Houston, Alabama a son to Floyd William and Claudia (Lawrence) Everett. At a young age his family moved to Florida.
He was a successful businessman who owned and operated several companies making a life for himself working tirelessly and providing for his family. He took great pride in his work ethic, coming from his humble beginnings. He took immense pride in being a master electrician. He was also a pioneer in both the airboat manufacturing and racing world. His passion and specialty was aircraft engine building, which he was a master of his craft and an icon in the airboat community. He continued to work in this industry until his passing. His passions in life were whitetail deer hunting, fishing and his beloved Miami Dolphins. His biggest love in life was his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Kimberly (Ferrell) Everett; three sons, Tracy Lee Everett, James Robert Mosher, Floyd William Everett and honorary son Alan Daymon; three daughters, Donna Lee Everett, Katelyn Marie Everett, Jessica Marie Everett; a brother, Edy Everett; a sister, Paulene Shedd; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service has been scheduled for Saturday August 27, 2022 at 10:00am at the Orange Springs Community Cemetery, Orange Springs, Fl. The family will be accepting guests at the Everett home following services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you instead make a donation in memory of Lacy to the Fish and Wildlife Foundation at https://wildlifeflorida.org/donations/conserving-floridas-wildlife/#!/donation/checkout.
