Larry Allen Godfrey

Larry Allen Godfrey, age 79, of Silver Springs, Florida, passed away on October 19, 2023.  He was born on November 4, 1943 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a son to the late Aldrous and Marjorie (Griswald) Godfrey.  

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sons, Stephen Godfrey, Lawrence Godfrey and Johnathan Godfrey; daughter, Sandra Godfrey; brothers; Ronald Godfrey and Jack Godfrey. 

 He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Beverly Godfrey; son, Richard Lyon; daughter, Charity Tarr; brothers, Doug and Phillip; sister, Colleen Bonahoom; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. 

He loved fishing, dancing, his dog “Precious”, cruising, karaoke, old western TV and his front porch was his favorite place to be. He was a clown at heart who never met a stranger, he made everybody feel joyful because of his fun loving personality.

Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m. November 14, 2023 at Covington Memorial Garden Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
