Bushnell – Lenore B. Cruttenden of Bushnell, FL passed away peacefully Saturday, July 23, 2016. Born in Manhattan, NY to Leonard and Blanche Gibson. As a young girl, her family moved to Tampa, FL where she graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1955.
She married the love of her life, Arlen on April 21,
1956
and after they raised three children. Lenore went back to school to pursue a
lifelong
dream of becoming a Nurse. After graduating from Hillsborough College, she began her career as a Registered Nurse in 1980 and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital her entire career.
She was an avid reader, sometimes reading several full books in one day. A very generous donator to many charities, especially ones that helped U.S. Veterans and animals. She was always quick to send a note of encouragement when one needed it or remember a birthday with a card which would arrive a week early. The true essence of a Matriarch of a family and always there to offer her love and support to them. She loved her Family, her Animals, and Life.
She was preceded in death by her brother, whom she adored, Allen L. Gibson. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Arlen L. Cruttenden; sons, Kenneth A. Cruttenden (Valerie) of Punta Gorda, Fl, Steven L. Cruttenden (Cara) of Ocala, Fl; daughter, Vicki L. Sanchez (Robert) of Center Hill, Fl; grandchildren, Scott, Madison, Jessica, Colby, Connor, Christina, Alyssa, twins: Robert and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Braden and TrinityAnn; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Beyers Funeral Home – Purcell Chapel, 114 W Noble Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513, visitation will be one hour prior.

the family requests donations be made to North Shore Animal League of America at 25 Davis Ave, Port Washington, NY 11050, or a Veteran’s organization of your choice.
