Linda Irish

Linda Louise Irish, age 73 of Ocala Florida, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022 at Bridgewater Park Health and Rehab.  She was surrounded by friends an family members as she passed.

She was born on December 5, 1948 in Mishawaka, Indiana a daughter to the late Louis D. and Ruth A. (Lanphear) Ludwig.

In 1965, Linda met Robert C. Irish and immediately fell in love. They went on to be married in 1967 enjoying time together for 55 years and having three children together.  Linda was a fiercely dedicated mother and grandmother.  She was a woman of strong faith and instilled the importance of family to those she loved.  Being a mother and grandmother was one of the most important parts of Linda’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy.

Linda was passionate about many things and participated in countless clubs over the years. She graduated from Mishawaka HIgh School and continually participated on the 1967 High School Class Reunion Committee. She was an administrative assistant at Gymnastics Michaina for over 25 years. She served on the board of directors for the Hannah Lindahl Children’s Museum for over 30 years. She was a licensed HAM Radio Operator and an honorary lifetime member of the Michiana Ham Radio Club.  In her spare time she was dedicated to the Genealogy research of her Family Tree, Bible Study, and Card Crafting.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a son David Allen Irish, a brother David L. Ludwig and sister Luann Ludwig.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 55 years Robert, two daughters Christine Irish and Deborah (Millard) Miltenberger, a sister Jacquelyn Catlett, and two granddaughters Ashley (Austin) Bates and Payton Irish.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home in Florida.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Linda’s name to Joy Evangelical Lutheran Church 7045 SW 83rd Place, Ocala Florida 34476.
