Louis John Silvestro was chosen suddenly to spend the rest of his life in heaven with his heavenly father, Jesus Christ. Louis slipped into eternity on Sept 1, 2021 in Ocala, Fl. Born in Canton, Ohio, September 20, 1944.
Louis, a Vietnam Veteran, retired from CSX Railroad and came to Ocala 18 years ago, where he immediately became an active and dedicated volunteer at Operation Blessing, now known as His Compassion Food Bank.
He is survived by his wife Nellie Silvestro, sister, Kathy Hunt, son Doug (Karen) Silvestro, son Tim, Grandson Noah, Granddaughters Kelsie, Ariana, Autumn and a great granddaughter Maya, and numerous loving family members and friends.
Lou will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, his overly generous heart and never turning down a friend in need, leaving an unforgettable impression on anyone and everyone he met.
Memorial Service will be held September 14, at 12 noon at Living Waters Worship Center, 3801 N Hwy 441, Ocala, Fl 34475. Visitation at 11:30am. A Military Service at Bushnell National Cemetery will follow at 2:30pm. 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Fl 33513.
