Marcella Browning

Marcella G. Browning, 89, passed away May 31, 2018 in Monticello, FL after a long illness. She was born in St. Augustine, FL, to Emanuel Edward Capo and Laura Ellen Masters Capo. She was a resident of Ocala for many years before moving to Fernandina Beach. She then lived with her daughter in Tallahassee for about 5 years and attended Morningside Baptist Church.  She worked in fine jewelry sales for many years in Ocala. She also did bead stringing for several local jewelry stores. Her passion was the beach and she enjoyed living there. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis S. Browning and her sister, Gertrude Kane.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura (David) Clements of Ocala, Lois (Dennis) Johnson of Tallahassee and Lynn (John) Underwood, of St. Augustine; grandchildren, Rev. Samuel (Kellie) Clements, Deanna (Charles) Lindsey, Dawn (Wade) Whitehurst, Chris Underwood and Traci (Seth) Meyer; six great-grandchildren, and two great great-granddaughters.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 10:00 AM, at Unity Baptist Church in Anthony, FL with her grandson, Rev. Samuel W. Clements officiating. Visitation will be at 9 AM at the church. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park.
