Marilyn “Lyn” Siegel Bimonte

August 10, 1949 — October 29, 2024

Marilyn “Lyn” Siegel Bimonte, age 75, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on October 29, 2024. She was born on August 10, 1949, in Miami, Florida to Harold and Rita Siegel.

After graduating from the University of Florida, Lyn began her career as a lifelong educator. She was a classroom teacher for 15 years and continued her support of students as an assistant principal and principal for another 16 years.

In addition to her passion for learning, Lyn loved watching Jeopardy, reading, playing games with friends on her iPad, and spending time with family and friends. Her witty sense of humor and love for a good pun will be greatly missed as will her trademark “treasure hunt” for the grandkids.

Lyn was a wife, mother, and grandmother who put others’ needs above her own. She will beremembered for her kindness and generosity: whether taking Brad to doctor appointments or sending cards to her grandchildren on Easter, Halloween, and every occasion in between. Each year she would vacation with her family and always reach out to ask what she could bring so that family who were traveling from far away would have less to worry about and fewer items to pack. What may seem like small acts to some meant the world to her family.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: husband Bradford Bimonte; sons Patrick Joseph Bimonte (Sara) and Robert Harold Bimonte (Amanda); daughter Lesley Anne Verbus (Scott); brother Mark Siegel (Marie); sister Sammi Siegel; and five grandsons: Danny, William, Archer, Jacob, and Fletcher.

Lyn will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her spirit will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
