YONGUE, Marjorie Elizabeth Townsend
Fairfield - Marjorie T. Yongue, 94 , passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family April 15, 2017. Born December 2, 1922 in Williston, FL to Alice M. Jerrell and Madison B. Townsend. She was valedictorian of Fellowship High School in 1940. She worked for the Florida State Fire College for 41 years as administrative secretary for many bureau chiefs. She was a member of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church and Elder with the church for many years. She was also a secretary and treasurer for the Women of the Church and worked very hard doing church work as long as she was able.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, C.W. “Coon” Yongue. She is survived by her children, Kay Y. Shiver, John M. Yongue, and Cathy Y. Murphy; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grand children; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Fairfield Presbyterian Church in Fairfield, FL with Pastor Bruce Seaman officiating.
