SMITH, Marvin William
Marvin William Smith, 82, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2016. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 17, 1933, to James and Margaret Smith. Marvin lived in Marion County for the past 14 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Marvin was an avid golfer, he loved to to read, travel, and garden.
He is preceded in death by his father, James W. Smith; mother, Margaret Lynch; sister, Marlene Smetana.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Patricia A. Smith; daughters, Cynthia Thompson (Kenneth), Sherry Smith; son, James M. Smith (Wanli); stepdaughters, Deborah Haddaway (Derek), Kimberly Haddaway; grandchildren, Ryan Weidman, David and Daniel Thompson, Jordan Amass, and Amber Smith.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Legacy House Chapel, Ocala, Fl. Reverend Warren Thompson will be officiating.
