HOOKER, Mary Elizabeth
Ocala – Mary Elizabeth Hooker, 81, passed away March 14, 2016. Born December 18, 1934 in Portsmouth, OH to John Kleinman and Isabel Prince Kleinman. She has resided in Marion County since 1957 and was a homemaker/bookkeeper. She has been a long time member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years.
Mary was preceded in death by her son, Floyd Irving Hooker and grandson John Adcock. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Herbert “Boots” Hooker Sr.; son, Herbert “Dee” Hooker Jr. (Patty); daughters, Debbie Hooker, Cyndi (Brett) Ellis, Beth (Rich) Gruber; sister, Patty Singley; grandchildren, Justin Adcock, Laura Johnson, Alex Ellis, Julia Gruber, Sean Gruber and great-grandchildren, Rylan, Layne, Ava Jade, Boone and Avey.
Funeral Mass will be 11:30 a.m, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Ocala, FL with Father Patrick Sheedy officiating. Interment will be later in Anthony Cemetery.
