Melvin Keith DuBose passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2017. Born in Ft. White, FL, on April 1, 1931, to Ezekiel Perry and Winifred Mae DuBose, he is the last of their 10 children to pass away. Melvin first came to Marion County in the early 1950’s. A veteran of the US Army, he was a District Manager with the phone company. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara Ileine Ingle DuBose; sons, James Perry DuBose, William Keith DuBose, Steve Edwin (Holly) DuBose, Paul Allen DuBose; daughter, Cecelia Perry; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Rd., Anthony, with Pastor Bobby Ritch officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, High Springs, FL.
