LOVE, Michael Edward

Ocala - Michael Edward Love, 73, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born March 24, 1945, in Newark, New Jersey, to John Edward and Marie Love.

He was the Vice President of Sales at Paramount Greeting Cards. He was a proud Vietnam veteran of the United States Navy – AZ3 on the USS Kitty Hawk & USS Forrestal.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Lois Ann Love. Devoted father to his son Darren Michael Love and his wife Cindy, daughter Kelly Jeanne Love Blake and her husband Paul, stepson Mark McGovern, 3 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Survived by brothers Robert Love, Dennis Love, Thomas Love and sisters Joan Mickey and Jeannie Cannone. Predeceased by both parents and brother, John Love.

He was an avid golfer all his life. Caddied at young age and instrumental in forming his High School golf club. A member of Panther Valley, NorthStone Country Club and Stone Creek Golf Club in Ocala, FL with 3 career holes-in-one and "albatross" double-eagle.

A Memorial service with military honors will be held on Friday, April 6 at 1:15 PM at the Administration building for Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735-1211
