Michael Edward Moffatt

Michael Edward Moffatt, 75, of Fort McCoy, Florida passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at his home.He was born in Mansfield, Ohio on April 28, 1949, to Thomas Albert Moffatt Sr. and Boni Jean Human Moffatt Johns. He was a proud Veteran, who served in the Navy in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He met and married Anita Marcovechio Moffatt, from Wooster, Ohio and they moved to Ocala, Florida in 1972. He began his career with Cox Communications, then moved on to become self-employed as A&M Aluminum. He was a man of many talents, could fix or build just about anything. He loved to fish and hunt with lifetime friends Bill Weckler, cousins Gary & Ron Rose, Cam McGregor and many more along the way. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory wife of 46 years Anita Marcovechio Moffatt; two daughters, Valerie Dillard (Dominic) of Ft. McCoy and Amy Sanders (Shad) of Ocala; 6 grandchildren: Cody Thomas (Cassy), Logan Dillard, Wyatt Dillard, Ashton Sanders, Kynley Sanders, Brilee Sanders; 2 great-grandsons: Cameron & Caleb Thomas; sister: Carolyn Moffatt; Brother-in-law: Tom Marcovechio (Dee Dee); sister-in-law: Lois Wincz (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father: Herman Johns; step-mother: Gloria Moffatt; brother: Thomas A. Moffatt Jr; step-brothers: Larry & Harry Johns; in-laws: John & Velma Marcovechio, Jim & Phyllis VanLieu and Ronald & Janice Snyder.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
