Nelda Mae Francis

Nelda Mae Francis, age 95, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of West Frankfort, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2024. surrounded by her family. She was born on December 29, 1928 in Alton, Illinois, daughter of Claude and Julia Filkins. 

She was preceded in death by her husband William Francis and sisters, Joyce Todd and Patricia Hutchins

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; daughter, Patricia (Richard) Ortega, loving granddaughters Jennifer (Daniel) Mellies and Lauren (Tom) Anderson. Her great grandchildren Tyler and Samantha Mellies were the joy of her life. Each one had their own special relationship with their Nana . Brother Claude (Janet) Filkins. along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala, Florida November 29th at 10:00 a.m.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
