HOLGERSON, Oscar

Olle was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on August 26, 1940. His parents were Oscar and Lucy Holgerson. They moved to Dover Plains, NY in 1942, where Olle spent his youth with his brother, John and sister’s, Frances Collins and Kathleen Reynolds. He graduated from Dover Plains High School in 1958 and went into the Army that fall where he served three years in California and Panama. Olle married Judy Lashway in 1964 and they enjoyed 55 years of traveling and spending time with their family. Their daughters, Lori McNab (Mike), Lisa Houchens (Jon) and Lanette Holgerson have brought them 4 grandchildren, Amanda, Erika, Kevin and Tylee; and 2 great-grandchildren, Abigale and Kollin.

Olle worked for Tri-Wall Containers from 1964-1994 and retired as Eastern Sales Manager. They lived in, Farmingdale, NY, Butler, IN and Clifton Park, NY, before retiring at The Villages, FL in 2003. Olle always enjoyed many family outdoor activities like camping on Lake George, boating, fishing, golfing (he had four holes in one.)
Olle’s Celebration of life will be Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Colony Recreation Center from 12 -3 P.M. The service will begin at 12:30 P.M. Heavy hors d'oeuvre will be served while everyone shares their memories of Olle and watching videos and pictures.
