Ocala - Oscar Vidal, Jr., 78, passed away April 8, 2017. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on April 4, 1939, he was the son of Oscar and Carmen Vidal, Sr. Oscar has been a Marion County resident for nearly 30 years and worked in communications for the United States Marine Corps and the Army Reserve. He retired from New York Transit after 20 years.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Carmen Vidal.
He is survived by his loving companion in life, Betty Biederman; sons, Oscar Vidal, III, Edgar Vidal; Karen Czechowicz, Paul Biederman, and Ellen K. Lewis.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Church of Advent, Dunnellon, FL, with Father Robert Lewis officiating. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home.
