MALKIN, Patrick Richard
Ocala - Patrick Richard Malkin, 56, passed away September 4, 2017. Born September 18, 1960, in Tucson, AZ, he has lived in Florida since 1961 and in Marion County since 1972. Patrick attended Fort King Middle School and Vanguard High School and worked for Century Link for more than 37 years.

Loved and admired by his family and all who knew him, he was not only a hero to his wife, daughters, parents and brothers, but a tower of strength and morality. Patrick’s wide and diverse circle of friends admired his open heart, honesty and unwavering acceptance. His life was cut too short but was remarkable for the joy with which he lived every day.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Elizabeth of Ocala, his daughters and sons-in-law Shannon and Matt Daniels of Stamford, CT and Danielle Malkin and Ray Roa of Tampa, FL; his parents, Bill and Patti Griffiths of Ocklawaha, FL; brother and sister-in law Scott and Susan Malkin of Archer, FL and brother Bruce Malkin of Key West, FL.

A Celebration of Patrick’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with brother-in-law Vincent Fontana and close friend Fred Crawford officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations in memory of Patrick be made to the Hope Lodge at Moffitt Cancer Center.  Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
