Ocala - Patrick Kelly Gilligan, lovingly known as Kelly by friends and family, 29, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2017. He was home with his parents,
sister
and brother when he passed.
Kelly was born in Ocala, Florida on June 11,
1988,
to Patrick and Carol Gilligan. Attending Blessed Trinity Catholic School (K-8), he played numerous sports including basketball,
football
and baseball. After graduating from Trinity Catholic High School in 2006, he started his career in the auto-service industry at Gatorland Toyota of Gainesville. Kelly's loving and adventurous spirit touched all who knew him.
Kelly is survived by his parents, Patrick and Carol Gilligan; sister, Molly Gilligan; brother, Tully Gilligan; grandparents, Bud and Patricia Gilligan; dear aunts and uncles; 19 cousins: Aydin, Brad, Colin, Connor, Daniel, Ella, Garrett, Grace, John, Kallen, Kassie, Katie, Kellen, Kelly, Kimbrell, Krissie, Kristy, Michael and Ryan; and countless friends who are like family.
He is joined in heaven with his grandparents, Honey and Margaret Cornell; his uncle, Sonny Cornell; his cousin, Colin Every; and his aunt, Kathleen Gilligan.
A memorial mass will be held at
10:00 am
on Friday, August 25,
2017,
at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 SE 17th St., Ocala, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to TCHS in the care of the Christopher Uhle Scholarship Fund.
