Paula Towery

Paula Towery, 70, of Ocala, FL passed away at home, on Monday, November 29, 2021. She was born Paula Faye Pilcher on August 26, 1951 in Adel, Georgia.  She was the oldest of seven children to Frank and Pauline Pilcher of Ocala,  who both preceded her in death.
Paula married Hinkle Towery on April 17, 1987. During their 34+ years together, they worked in or traveled through every state in the lower 48, and through five Canadian provinces.  They pulled their RV from New York to Florida, from Minnesota to Texas, and from Maine to Oregon. They visited many natural and historic sights together.
Paula worked as a Quality Control Inspector in the construction industry for many years. She loved the beach, the sun, being a grandmother, and spending time with family and friends, making frequent trips to visit.

Paula was fun, loving, and generous with her time, resources, and talents. One of those talents was sewing. Her family and friends brought her clothing for repairs and alterations. She was a skilled seamstress, and would sew beautiful formal dresses,  satin-lined three piece suits, and western shirts with darted pockets. Another talent that she freely shared was her self taught ability to troubleshoot and repair computers.  She was "THE" IT support person of the family.

Paula is survived by her devoted husband Hinkle H. Towery; three daughters, Angie White (Johnny), Dawn Steinhauer (John) and Barbie Divine; step-son, Mike Towery(Jane); three brothers, Steve Pilcher (Barbara), Glen Pilcher (Rhonda) and Mark Pilcher (Rhoda); three sisters, Trisha Brooks (Mark), Margie West (Tom Maher), Shannon Roberts (Cliff), five grandchildren, one great-grandson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved dearly and was loved by in return.

A virtual memorial service officiated by Brother Doug Johnson will be held via Zoom on Saturday January 22, 2022.
