MARKHAM, Paul Stanley


Fort McCoy - Stan Markham, 56 went home to be with the Lord on  December 6, 2017. Stan was born on February 6, 1961 in Ocala, FL to Charles Sr. and Pauline Markham; he was the youngest of six. Stan lived in Marion County all of his life, a true native. He graduated from North Marion High School in 1979. He was a local business owner of Markham's LP Gas and Markham's Mowing. He loved the outdoors: running his hunting dogs in the woods, camping, and fishing. He truly enjoyed and received great reward in coaching baseball and football. A loving and dedicated father, who will be missed greatly.

Stan is preceded by his parents: Charles Markham, Sr. and Pauline (Cooley) Markham and his siblings: Charles Markham, Jr., Wilbur Bilyou, Catherine (Markham) Kearce, and Gloria Jean (Cooley) Sparkman.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharlene Markham; former wife, Sheryl Markham; brother, William Markham; sister-in-law JoAnn Markham and many other extended family and friends.

A gathering to celebrate Stan's life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 12:00 pm, at Oakcrest Baptist Church - 1109 NE 28th Street, Ocala, FL 34470  with Richard Mooneyhan as the officiating pastor. Visitation will be one hour prior. Following the service, the family would like for y'all to join them as they continue to celebrate Stan's life, for a potluck dinner on the grounds (meat is provided) at 8350 NW 145th St, Reddick, FL 32686.  Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.  In lieu of flowers, please contribute to service cost at Countryside Funeral Home - thank you.
