Ray Swinson

Citra - Ray Thomas Swinson, 63, passed away September 12, 2021. He was born on January 9, 1958 in Mt. Olive, NC, to his belated parents Fred Louis and Susan Deaver Swinson. He was a graduate of North Marion High School and was a welder employed most of his life at Sandvick. He was a resident of Citra throughout his adult life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Bonnie Swinson; sons, Joey Thomas Swinson, Johnny Ray Helms; daughters, Alisha Marie Lopez (Jimmy), Melissa Sue Limbaugh (Dana), Kasee Marie Sanders (Airick); brothers, John (Shirley) Swinson and James Whaley; sisters, Violet Swinson, Thelma (Robert) Grivois, and Brenda Sher; He adored his grandchildren Shea, Amber, Kaylei, and Jase Lopez; and Brooke, Travis, and Jacob Limbaugh. The newest addition to his family is his great grandson Axel Sanders. He had many loving cousins, and was the uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. He was blessed with lifelong friends, many of which were his hunting and fishing buddies. He was a man of faith and follower of Christ.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Pastor Charlie Gates officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Citra Cemetery, Citra, FL. After his burial, a celebration of his life will continue at Orange Lake Baptist Church, Orange Lake, FL.

The family requests all attendees to wear face masks when indoors during the visitation and the funeral service.
