Ocala - Richard Scott Maxwell, 52, passed away unexpectedly August 21, 2017. Born March 22, 1965, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to the late Wade and Sharon Maxwell. He retired from Marion County Fire Rescue after 27 and a half years of service, as a Deputy Fire Chief.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Maxwell; sons, Christopher Maxwell, Bryce Maxwell; daughter, Breanna Maxwell; brothers, Wade Maxwell, Jr., Randy Maxwell; and sisters, Debbie Hancock and Donna Ort.
A private service will be held at Church at the Springs, Ocala, FL. A public Fire Department Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Church of the Springs, Ocala, FL with Chaplain Joe LaCognata officiating.
