Rick Anthony Jennings, age 65, was born September 28 th 1957 to Ruby Miller McClain and Ed Jennings in
Ocala, Florida. He passed away on March 19 th , 2023.
Rick lived in Florida most of his life and was a true Florida native. He served in the US Army as a Green
Beret. He was a Tree Surgeon and a Commercial Fisherman. He was passionate about both careers and
trained many young men to do the same. Rick absolutely loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping
and living off the land. He hunted everything from frogs and squirrels to sharks and gators. He was also
known to play a good prank from time to time. He was strong, courageous, and passionate. He lived life
unapologetically on his own terms. He was our Crocodile DunDAD. Rick loved his country, his work and
his family.
He is survived by his father, Jim McClain. His brothers; James McClain, Daniel McClain, Jamie McClain,
Ralph Jennings, and Frank Jennings and one sister Valerie Wainwright. His daughters: Jennifer Kuzara,
Toni Dix, Crystal Benedict and Jessica Hodges.
He also leaves behind his wife, Marcia Jennings and 3 stepchildren; Joann, Elizabeth and Justin.
Rick had a total of 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Rick wished to be cremated. There will be no funeral services. However, the family has decided to have
a small gathering to place the remains alongside his beloved mother’s gravesite. This will be held on
April 1 st , 10 am at Ft McCoy Cemetery. Please contact a family member if you would like to attend.
