Rita Ludovici, age 67, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021 due to complications from Covid. She was born July 12, 1954 in Zanesville, OH. After spending her formative years in Orlando, FL, Rita and her late husband, Bill moved to Alachua County in 1991. She loved living the country life. She took pride in her home and land. She loved her animals and had room to bring in rescues and give them a beautiful life.
Rita was most proud of her 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she loved shopping for all of them. She was a natural care-giver and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her sense of humor was contagious and once you got her laughing, it was hard for anyone around her to quit. Her smile lit up every room. She attended Friendship Baptist and loved her church who welcomed her in there like family.
Rita was proceeded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Ludovici, her parents, Kenneth and Marian Guest, and her sister, Linda Williams.
She is survived by her children, James Ludovici (Rebecca), Christina Ludovici-Benck (Bull), Billy Ludovici (Tara), Donnie Ludovici (Katie), as well as her siblings, Michael Guest, Dixie Smith (Steve), Robert Guest (Terry), and Amy Skelton (Skip), and all of her grandchildren, James, Skylar, Shane, Matthew, Seth, Maddox, Josiah, Braelin, Aiden, Bryce, Brayden Gavin, Easton, Kyle, Kendall, Madison and Mason.
Rita was a beautiful soul and loved by so many. Our lives have been forever changed with her loss but we know without a doubt she will be our guardian Angel and in God’s time we will all be together again.
