Robert O'Connor

Ocala - Robert Owen O'Connor died August 8, 2016 at Hospice. Born to Edward J. O'Connor and Gloria Lillick on November 22, 1942 in Astoria, NY. Robert was a Detective for NYPD and a Deputy for Marion County Sheriff's Department. He enjoyed to fish and raise chickens. He was also an avid wood carver and history buff.

Robert was preceded in death by daughter , Elizabeth O'Connor Sangster. He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen A. O'Connor; daughters, Cassandra Brown (Thomas), Kathleen Rose Vernace (Anthony), Margaret McHugh (James); brothers, Michael O'Connor (Cathy), Daniel O'Connor; sisters, Maureen Prefountine , Gloria O'Connor, Eileen O'Connor, Susan O'Connor; and several grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Ocala, FL. Burial will follow Friday, August 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., in North Lauderdale, Fl at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
