Robert “Bob” Shelley

SHELLEY, Robert Franklin, 94
Ocala - Robert Franklin Shelley, 94, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021.  Born May 23, 1927, in Olean, NY, to William David and Agnes (Morris) Shelley, he was the youngest of ten children.  A US Navy veteran and native of upstate NY, he and his loving wife, Pauline, moved to Vero Beach, FL, in 1969 from Cuba, NY.  A Tool & Die Maker by trade he worked at Acme Electric while in Cuba and for Piper Aircraft in Vero.  After retiring in 1990, Bob and Pauline moved to Lee, FL, where they enjoyed their golden years on their two acres of rural land, garden and fish pond, plus traveling around the country in their motorhome, spending weekends at the Suwannee River enjoying the music festivals, and trips to upstate NY to visit family.

Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Cora “Pauline” Shelley; brothers, Bill, Don, Ralph, Lyle, Jack, Ross; sisters, Madge Jones, Violet Stanley; and survived by one sister, Marjare Greene.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm, in Stonewall Cemetery, Lee, Florida.
