Sandra Meekins

Sandra Mae Meekins, age 69, of Ocala, FL, born April 4, 1948, and died February 11, 2018, surrounded by her family after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. She was born was born in Trion, GA, and raised in Alabama and Key West, FL. She was a 35 year resident of Marion County, FL.

Sandra is survived by her husband, John O. Meekins IV; son and daughter in law, Jaime and Shannon Spencer, Ocala, FL, and their family; daughter Leah and Tony Zuniga and their family, Key West, FL; son Lonnie Spencer, his daughter Savanna, his partner Shanna Watson and her 3 children, Ocala, FL. She is also survived by her sister Johnnie Paulette Weakly and her husband David of Marshall, MI, and their family; and her sister Charlene Matney, of DE.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Donna Black; and her much loved aunt, Barbara Hinde.

A graveside service in memory of Sandy will be held at the Ocklawaha Community Cemetery, Ocklawaha, FL, on Friday, February 16, at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a gathering at the New Harvest Church of God, 13184 East Highway 40, Silver Springs, FL, at 2 p.m.  All are welcome to attend and share memories, a poem, a song, a Bible verse and/or say parting words as they send Sandy off to God and the angels.
