Shelby Bowen

Shelby Dean Bowen, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2021, in Ocala, Florida. Bowen was born January 22, 1943, in Hickman County, Kentucky, to Johnie B. West and Earlene Barnes West. She lived most of her life in Anderson and Summitville, Indiana, and was of the Christian faith. After graduating from Madison Heights HS in Anderson in 1960, she studied cosmetology. Shelby worked as a hairdresser, a floral designer, and a homemaker. Her great joy in life was her family. As a mother, she was: teacher, chef, nurse, artist, gardener, playmate, engineer, veterinarian, role model, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnie B. and Earlene West and sister; Debra Jo West.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby K. Bowen, daughters; Carrie Renee Bowen and Katheryn Marie Bowen, all of Ocala, FL.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021, at 1:00p.m at Countryside Funeral Home in Anthony, Florida. Interment will follow at Belleview Cemetery.
