Shirley Orme

ORME, SHIRLEY JEAN
SILVER SPRINGS-Shirley Jean Orme, 78, passed away December 13, 2021 in Ocala, Florida. She was born December 29, 1942 in Lake Wales, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Ken Orme and her parents, Leonard and Audrey Parker.
She is survived by her son Robert (Robbie) K. Orme II, daughter-in-law Traci L. Orme, grandchildren Jessie George (Zan Donovan), Hayleigh DeGiorgio (John) and Austin Orme. She is also survived by her son Kevin Orme, daughter in law Theresa Orme and granddaughters Hannah Orme and Sarah Orme. In addition, her two great grandchildren Luke and Emma DeGiorgio will miss her greatly as will her cousin Brad (Bubba) Lewis and all those who loved her.
Shirley was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, friend, and nana. Her favorite moments were filled with caring for those around her with hugs, FOOD and encouragement. She was the perfect southern belle with her southern accent and her flair for hostessing. She never met a stranger and like her husband would literally give you the shirt off her back! She loved traveling with friends, finding a good deal, connecting with high school buddies, gardening, and dancing! Her church family at Fort King Presbyterian was a source of fellowship, strength and comfort for her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date
