Siran M. Wolf, 91, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2016. Born July 23, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in the Bronx, {Pelham Bay}, New York. Siran trained for her RN in St Albans Hosptial in Hoboken, NJ., then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and received a commission as an Ensign in 1947 and was member of the Navy Nurse Corp Association. She worked as an RN in various hospitals in Miami, FL. She retired from Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach as the Night Nursing Supervisor after 25 years. Siran moved to Miami in 1953 and has been a Marion County resident since 1996.
She was preceded in death by her parents Vartkes and Yevdoxe Mozian, brothers, Gerard Mozian and Lou Mozian, and sister, Alice Heinlein.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas Wolf (JoAnn), John Wolf (Cindy), Paul Wolf (Denise); daughter, Judy Chaires (Oscar); six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Reverend Armash Bagdasarian officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or Hospice of Marion County.
