Stephen Henthorn

Ocklawaha - Stephen Arthur Henthorn, 71, passed away August 7, 2021 at Hospice Estelle's House. He was born October 30, 1949 in Miami, Florida to the late Albert and Dorothy Henthorn. He grew up in St. Thomas and was a carpenter/finisher for many years.  It is said Steve never met a stranger, he was the life of the party. Steve was the kindest man and amazing with kids, especially his own. Many trips to Juniper springs with food grilling and watermelon floating in the water to be fresh and cold. Swimming long stretches and even giving piggy backrides. He was born in Miami, FL but had an adventurous life growing up in St. Thomas USVI, attended school in Puerto Rico, went on a trip to Africa after a fishing job. He loved to sail, surf and swim. Steve's true love was his family and friends and he will truly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Anderson; and brothers, Henry and Albert Henthorn; and Anita Wycoff.
He is survived by his sons, James Anderson, Isaac Sheffield; daughters, Amelia Buckley and Cherish Henthorn; brother, Edward Henthorn; sister Sandy Henthorn Ray; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
