Taylor Cameron Starling, age 26, passed away July 31, 2018 from injuries sustained in a traffic crash. Born in Gainesville, Florida to Marlene (Hanna) and Ken Starling, he attended Buchholz High School, dual enrolled in the construction program at Santa Fe College and earned his degree from Blue Ridge International Academy. Taylor was a property management maintenance supervisor in Gainesville for over 5 years and recently moved to Ocala, FL. From an early age, Taylor was a “charmer”. He had an infectious smile and a talent for lighting up a room. He used that charm to make and maintain many lasting friendships. There was little that he feared and some would say he lived for the thrill and adventure in everything he did. He was self-taught in so many things, eager to work with his hands and never afraid of hard work, loving to show off all those talents. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and above all, being a daddy to his girls Soaylee Cameron (7) and Rielyn Christine (4).
Besides his two daughters, Taylor leaves behind his parents, his stepfather Rick Hanna and stepmother Jeana, brothers Cody Starling, Zachery Starling, Kyle Hanna, Bryan Hanna and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Taylor was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marian Ryan Shugart and paternal grandfather, Edward B. Starling.
Taylor was a Christian and an organ donor. In his memory, an educational fund for Taylor’s daughters will be established.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, August 5, 2018 with a viewing from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Road, Anthony, FL 32617.
