Silver Springs - Thinh Dowda passed away October 27, 2016. Born on June 17, 1941, to Tram Vam Sang and Nguyen Thi Chyen, in Saigon, Vietnam. She came to Ocala in 1973 as a war-bride and weeks after her arrival in the United States her husband passed away. Alone in this country she sought assistance from the VA where she met Veteran's Service Officer, Mrs. Maxine Bewley, who helped her get established in the US. Thereafter, Thinh became an extended member of the Bewley family. She worked as a Dental Assistant.
She is survived by her niece, Son Thi Vu of TX; grand-niece, Maxine Vu Phan; American family, David M. Bewley and Nancy Bewley, of Gulfport, FL.;
Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2016, at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, 4047 NE 21st St, Ocala, FL 34470 with Father Jack Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. McCoy Cemetery.
