Ocala - Verona D. Allpress, 77, passed away December 26, 2021. She was born April 11, 1944, in Miami, FL to the late Cecil G. and Era Dean Shirey. She retired from Sprint Telephone as Department Manager and graduated from Ocala High School in 1962.

She is preceded in death by her wonderful parents Cecil G. and Era Dean Shirey as well as her sister Virginia Mathews.
She is survived by her loving husband Francis William "Buddy" Allpress; brothers, Glenn Shirey and Weldon Shirey; and as well as numerous nieces and nephews including one special niece, Donna Shirey.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Friday, December 31, 2021 at Countryside Funeral Home, with Pastor Kermit Mathews officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
