Viola "Gertie" Lacy

Viola Gertrude "Gertie" Lacy, age 87 of Ocala, passed away on December 21, 2022 at Estelle's Hospice House.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Maurice” Lacy, Sr in 2016.

She was born in Savannah Georgia on June 13, 1935.  But moved and grew up here at a very early age.
She had so many talents in life, nursing, business owner, cosmetology but her best and most cherished attribute was her love and devotion to her family! In her last few weeks she mentioned numerous times how she was so blessed with such a wonderful, loving family and we told her it was because she loved us so deeply and unconditionally, you get back what you give, tenfold.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Rhonda Lacy, four grandchildren, Robbie, Robyn (Don), Regina and Ronnie (Sara), four great grandchildren, Princess, Ariana, Alaysha, Ryland and two great great grandsons, King and Malik. Two loving SIL, Joyce and Mary and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service has been scheduled for 1/4/23 1 PM at Countryside Funeral Home.
