Virginia Louise James Dolder

Virginia Louise James Dolder was born on December 14th, 1938 in the small town of Gainesville, Florida. Virginia passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on March 23rd, 2024 in the same town in which she was born.

Virginia always wanted to be a school teacher and obtained her Education Degree from Florida State University. She raised four children and eventually became step-mother to five more. She and her husband loved volunteering at the Butterfly Garden so much so they traveled to other countries to witness various species in their native habitats.

She is predeceased by her Husband Richard E. Dolder and her son James Berry. She is survived by three children, Gigi Berry Harvey (Robbie), Louis A. Berry (Holli), and Barbara E. Berry, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchild.

In memory of Virginia, we ask that donations be made to Richard E. And Virginia J. Dolder Endowment at the University of Florida’s butterfly habitat; an organization that was close to Virginia's heart. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 29th at the Prairie Creek at Preserve. All are welcome to attend.
