Virginia "Ginnie" Edwards

Virginia Minta Gross Edwards, 75, who was fondly known as “Ginnie” died on August 9, 2018 in Eustis, Florida.  Ginnie was born on May 1, 1943 in Washington, D. C.  She was the daughter of the late Ralph Franklin Gross and the late Dorothy Barton Pitcher Gross.  Ginnie was married to the late Roland Linwood Edwards on May 2, 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Ginnie is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Edwards Cain of Orlando, Florida, and Stephanie Lynn Edwards of Umatilla, Florida, and six grandchildren, Alex Soesman, Christopher Edwards, Riley Soesman, Preston Driggers, Hunter Driggers and Faith Soesman.  She is also survived by her brother, David Franklin Gross, and his wife, Dottie Presley Gross of Jacksonville, Florida, and her other brother, James Barton Gross, and his wife, Margaret Mims Gross of Perry, Florida.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery in Micanopy, FL.  Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.  Ginnie’s final resting place will be at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ginnie’s honor to the ALS Association (1275 K Street NW, Suite 250, Washington, D.
