Ocala - Walter Donald McQuaig, Sr., 80, passed away February 16, 2017. Born March 18, 1936 in Lake Kerr, FL, to John Mcquaig and Georgia Mills McQuaig, he was raised in Anthony. He was a cabinet maker and veteran of the United States National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife; son, Doug McQuaig and granddaughter, Heather McQuaig.
He is survived by his sons, Donald (Tina) McQuaig, Dennis (Sue) McQuaig, Darryl (Doug) McQuaig, Todd (Missy) McQuaig; daughter, Debra Ann O’Brien (Tom); 10 grandchildren, Shannon Waters, Jerry Waters, Shayne McQuaig, Dennis McQuaig Jr., Penny Patino, Regina McQuaig, Carrie McQuaig, April McQuaig, Shana McQuaig, Katelynn McQuaig; great-grandchildren, Allison Hickman, Robert Hickman, Ashley Hickman, Marley McQuaig, Brayden McQuaig, Olivea McQuaig, Shawn McQuaig, Edgar Patino, Austin McQuaig, Jaclyn McQuaig, Eric Heeter, Aiden Heeter; and 2 great-great grandchildren, Ivey Hickman and Wyatt Meyers.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL, with Mr. George Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior beginning at 1:00 p.m.
